BSGAR has set up a new National CTC Committee which will work to promote and support the provision of CTC services in patients throughout the UK, including the implementation of national CTC standards . The committee aims to represent the best interests of patients by improving the safety, experience and quality of national CTC practice. It also aims to develop and enhance UK CTC research, education and audit.
Dr Damian Tolan has been appointed as the Chair of the CTC Committee and Dr David Burling as the Radiology Lead for the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, chairing a BCSP Committee to address these issues in patients undergoing CTC as part of the screening programme. BSGAR will be publishing articles produced by the CTC committee to aid UK GI Radiologists who are seeking advice about setting up, auditing and improving the quality of their CTC practice. These articles will be made available to BSGAR members on the BSGAR website.
