Funded access to the National CT Colonography Academy (NCTCA) Module A Online units for Radiology Registrars in England

NHS England, the Midlands Imaging Training Academy and BSGAR are supporting Radiology Registrar access to the online units of Module A - CT colonography (Technique) delivered by the National CT Colonography Academy. This is an comprehensive programme specifically designed to fulfil the requirements of the core syllabus for Clinical Radiology.
Registrars will be able to access the online units for a period of 30 days and will receive training in CTC indications, risks and guidelines, as well as a broader understanding of applicable colorectal anatomy, physiology and pathology. An overview of the units is available here.

For those planning a career in GI Radiology, this programme forms the foundation knowledge to support a CTC service and is a primer for Module B – CTC Interpretation. Pending additional funding, subspecialty GI Registrars who have completed Module A will have the option to complete an ePortfolio and subsequently Module B, to gain a postgraduate certificate in CT colonography.
